For Homeowners

Reliable Dirt Work for Big Home Projects

ADUs, additions, pool digs, old driveways, drainage. We show up when we said, do what we quoted, and leave the rest of your yard the way we found it. Free written quote, fully insured.

Mini excavator working on a residential home addition foundation in Northern California.

Homeowners hire us for the early dirt phase of big home projects. Foundation digs for ADUs and additions, old driveways and patios broken out, drainage trenches that fix standing water, lot clearing, even pool digs if you're owner-builder. You get a written quote with everything spelled out, a fixed start date, and a clean site when we leave. Fully insured, CSLB licensed, and we work clean around the rest of your yard.

Written Quote, No Surprises

Itemized so you know what you're paying for. Change orders only if you change scope, and only with your approval first.

Licensed & Fully Insured

$1M general liability, full California workers comp, CSLB licensed. Your homeowner's insurance and HOA paperwork stays clean.

Clean Around Your Yard

Plywood for the lawn, tarps for the planters, sprinkler heads marked. The rest of your property looks the same as when we got there.

What We Do for Homeowners

From Backyard Drainage to Full ADU Site Prep

Big or small, we run the same process. Walk it, quote it, schedule it, do it clean.

ADU & Addition Site Prep

Foundation excavation, utility trenches, rough grade. Ready for your foundation crew to pour.

Driveway & Patio Removal

Old concrete and asphalt out clean. Sub-grade ready for your new pour, paver install, or landscaping.

Drainage & Yard Issues

French drains, swales, low spots. Standing water solved before it ruins your foundation or kills the lawn.

Pool & Big Backyard Projects

Owner-builder pool digs, fire feature pads, retaining wall footings. The dirt phase done right.

How It Works When You Hire Us

You're not signing up for a contractor experience. You're hiring a sub who does one phase, does it right, and gets out of the way. Here's what every homeowner job looks like.

  • Free site visit. We walk the project with you, listen to what you want, no high-pressure pitch.
  • Written quote within 24 hours, plain English, every line itemized.
  • Permits and 811 locates handled, or coordinated with your GC if you have one.
  • Show up when we said, work the hours we said, no surprise crews on your lawn.
  • Lawn protected with plywood, planters tarped, sprinkler heads flagged before we move.
  • Cleanup before we leave. Photos sent to you so you have a record.

Worried About the Mess? Don't Be.

Most homeowners assume excavation work means a wrecked yard. We work different. Plywood goes down on the lawn for equipment paths. Planter beds get tarped. Sprinkler heads get flagged. Spoils get hauled the same day, not piled in the side yard for a week. The rest of your property looks the same as when we got there.

Common Questions

What Homeowners Ask Before They Hire Us

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are CSLB licensed in California, carry $1 million in general liability, and full workers compensation. Send us your address and we will send the COI and license number with the quote so your homeowner's insurance and any HOA paperwork is covered.

Can I get a free quote with no commitment?

Yes. The site visit and written quote are free. We walk the project with you, listen to what you want, and send a written quote within 24 hours. No deposit, no pressure, no obligation. If you want to compare quotes, take ours and compare. We are confident in the price.

Will my yard be a disaster when you're done?

No. Most homeowners assume excavation means a wrecked lawn. We work different. Plywood goes down on the lawn for equipment paths, planter beds get tarped, sprinkler heads get flagged before we move. Spoils are hauled the same day, not piled in the side yard for a week. The rest of your property looks the same as when we got there.

Do I need to handle permits myself?

Depends on the job. ADUs, additions, and pools usually need permits and your architect or general contractor pulls them. For demo and grading on those, we work off your permit. If you are doing a smaller job and the permit is on you, we will tell you what to apply for and what we need from the city before we dig.
