For Pool Builders
Dug to your engineer's spec. Fits through 36-inch gates. Plumbing and electrical trenches in the same mob. Spoils hauled the same day. Your gunite crew rolls on schedule.
Pool builders hire us when the dig has to be right and on the day. We excavate to the stamped engineering, trench for plumbing and electrical before shotcrete, and break out old decks on remodels. Spoils hauled off the same day, no piles in the side yard. Tight access through the side gate? We bring the right size machine. Your gunite crew shows up to a clean dig that matches the plan.
Stamped plans in hand. Depth, slope, beam shelf, and shape match the engineering, not "close enough."
Mini excavator, skid steer, and walk-behind gear. Backyard pools are most of what we dig.
Plumbing and electrical trenches dug while the excavator is on site. One mobilization, one cleanup.
What We Dig for Pool Builders
Whatever shape, whatever access. The dig and the trenches handled in one scope.
Dig to plan, haul spoils, leave room for shotcrete crew. Most residential pools done in 1 to 2 days.
Old deck broken out, plumbing trenches re-cut, drainage corrected. Coordinated with your plumber.
Smaller dig, tighter access. Same precision, smaller footprint. Often through 30 inch gates.
Pool plus deck, fire feature, planter beds. Whole backyard staged in phases for your trades.
Pool builders run on tight schedules. The dig is the gate to shotcrete, plumbing, and decking. Here's how we keep your downstream trades on track.
Sacramento area pools mostly go behind the house through a 36 to 48 inch side gate. We size the equipment to fit. Mini excavators, walk-behind skid steers, conveyor belts when the gate is too narrow. Dig gets done without ripping out the fence first or trenching across the front lawn.
Pricing & Lead Time
Real numbers per dig. Bundles save mobilization fees.

Standard residential pool digs land in a tight range. Combine the dig with plumbing and electrical trenches and you save the second mob.
Lead Time
Standard lead time is 1 to 2 weeks once the permit clears. Tight schedules and emergencies, we usually slot in within the week.

Common Questions
Yes. Send the stamped plans with the dig sheet and we excavate to the depths, slopes, and shape on the drawings. Beam shelf, deep end transition, sun shelf, all of it. We confirm the layout with the pool builder before the first scoop and check grade as we go so the gunite crew is not chasing the dig.
We regularly work through 36-inch gates with a mini excavator and skid steer. For 30-inch and tighter, we run a walk-behind skid steer or hand work the corners. If the gate is too narrow even for that, a temporary fence section comes out and goes back in same day. Backyard pools are most of what we do.
Yes. We trench for the suction and return lines, gas to the heater, and electrical to the equipment pad while the excavator is on site. Trench depths and widths to your plumber and electrician's spec. Saves you a second mobilization and keeps the schedule tight to shotcrete.
Standard lead time is 1 to 2 weeks once permits are clear. For tight schedules we can usually slot a pool dig in within the week. The earlier you give us the address and stamped plans, the easier it is to lock the date so your shotcrete crew is not waiting.
